In the policies area you control how your organization buys through 1-CP: with limit policies for spending rules and terms & conditions for your own terms.
Limit policies let you define rules for how employees can spend through 1-CP. The overview is organized into the tabs Policies, Preview and Simulation. You can filter your list of policies by enforcement, type and business unit.
Use Create to add a new policy. You give it a name, choose the business unit, a priority and optionally a description. Then you define the rule itself:
Policy type: A spend limit is a limit per checkout or transaction. A budget limit is a budget that can be assigned, for example, to a group, a company, individual users or projects.
Enforcement mode: In hard mode (block checkout), a transaction that exceeds the limit is blocked and the checkout cannot proceed. In soft mode (allow with warning), the transaction is allowed but flagged with a warning. This is ideal for monitoring without blocking business operations.
Amount and period: You set the maximum amount including the currency and the period: per transaction, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly.
Assignment: By default the policy applies globally to your entire organization. Use Add Assignment to target it specifically.
Limit policies are currently in beta. The feature set may still change.
Under terms & conditions you store your organization's own terms. Each version is assigned to a business unit. Use Create New Term to create new terms.
